“Committed to continual improvement in environmental and community stewardship and performance.”
Centennial’s Directors and Management are committed to continual improvement in environmental governance of the Company’s operations and to developing and maintaining effective community relationships. Centennial recognises the importance of effectively managing the environmental impacts associated with each mine and, over the years, has developed an Environment and Community Policy that commits the Company to continual improvement in its environmental management and performance.
Centennial’s approach to environmental governance is set out in our Environment and Community Policy, forming part of a broader Environmental Management Strategy and supported by environmental standards.
We see environmental management as an integral part of the way we operate, led and assisted by a team of people across the breadth of our business, supported by systems and infrastructure.
Compliance with our requirements is checked by our internal audit processes, as well as periodic external audits, to ensure we identify and address areas for improvement. Greenhouse gas emissions are subject to an annual independent audit and are also reported publicly.
